The stables were a necessary part of the plan when we purchased the Tree Farm.
When my sister Arlene first fell in love with Polo (she had always had the Schwerman love of horses), she went to a week-long training in Florida to learn the basics and soon after determined that Huntsville, Alabama had to have a polo club.
Sis passed the mantle in 2001 and so Swinging Tree Stables was launched. We have been working hard to build barns, sheds, and pastures, and next year an arena is planned for the plantation.
The stables will have boarding opportunities for all types of horses and arrangements.
The barn is an 8-stall facility with tack room and feed room, a wash rack is located nearby, with a hay shed and shaving shed having also been built this year.
For boarding information contact the stables at (256) 882-6185.
Future plans include having horses available for riding lessons, trail rides, and general horsemanship training. |
